Color me pink

I'm sitting in front of my mirror, putting on some makeup. I reach for my perfect shade of pink lipstick. It doesn't matter that the entire US is on lockdown, I still like to get ready in the morning. I feel more productive when I am dressed and ready to start the day. Laying around in PJ's makes me tired and since most of us are working from home, I want to make the most of my day.

So I head into the kitchen, all dressed with nowhere to go and grab some coffee.

I notice the vitamins and supplements lined up on my counter. We are all worried about coronavirus. We want to stay healthy, and we certainly don't want to pass something along to our loved ones.

Boosting our immune system by taking supplements is one way we can fight this invisible war. I reach for the echinacea. This has always been one of my favorite immune support supplements. It decreases inflammation and stimulates the body's immune system.

I also grab the bottle of zinc. I have used zinc for years when combating the common cold.

Zinc can aid in blocking a virus from entering your body. It can also work by blocking the replication of the virus in your body.

I take my coffee cup and open the back door to sit on the patio. It is a beautiful day, the sun is out, I welcome those glorious rays. The sun is truly our best source of vitamin D. Vitamin D plays a huge role in boosting our immune system.

Hanging around outside, reading a book, taking in the fresh air, I feel invigorated. I catch a glimpse of my reflection in the patio door and I'm glad I took the time for a little glamour. A splash of pink is good for the soul.
